About This Section

Coastal Sheen Logbook covers house painting in Long Beach, CA, in the level of detail a homeowner needs before spending money on it.

Limits

A page written in advance cannot see the property it is being read about. Site conditions, existing construction and local code can all override what is described here.

No Paid Placement

Nothing here is a sales page. It does not perform the work it describes, does not accept payment for a favorable mention, and has no financial interest in which contractor a reader chooses.

What This Section Covers

This section does one trade in one market, and leaves the rest alone. Generic advice is easy to write and hard to act on, which is the wrong trade for a reader about to spend money.

How the Guides Are Written

Guides concentrate on judgement calls rather than procedure. Preparation, specification, and the details that are expensive to correct afterward get the space; the rest is left out.
